This Wed March 21, TJS will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day.

"Rock Your Socks" celebrations surrounding World Down Syndrome day (WDSD) which is on March 21st (3-21- representing a 3rd copy of the 21st chromosome).

One of the main ways the day is celebrated is with a ' Rock your Socks' campaign. By wearing mismatched multi-coloured socks the idea is you are raising awareness about Down Syndrome because 1) the mix matched socks represents messages such as  'different is beautiful" , "we are all unique" "it okay to be different" and 2) if someone asks why you are wearing mismatched socks it gives you a chance to talk about World Down Syndrome Day. As well the colour blue and yellow are worn (the official colors of Down Syndrome awareness campaigns)

Go through your sock drawer and show off your sock flair this Wednesday.
